A next step

It’s been a while since I last owned a blog. I used to do a lot of that back in high school on a platform called LiveJournal and at the time it was basically -the- place where I interacted with my peers online. There were other platforms around as well, which were used by the “popular” kids, but the somewhat more intellectually engaged kids would keep an actual blog on LiveJournal. Later, when I went to uni I also started to use Facebook, which of course, is not a platform that lends itself well to blogging.

So it’s with a slight air of nostalgia that I back at starting a blog again. Although in this case the purpose is somewhat different. The reason I started this website is because I felt increasingly restricted in the way I was able to display and share my pictures on the various social media platforms that I use. Not only in terms of copyright, but also in terms of presentation and quality.

First and foremost, I will use this website for my photography. However, since my photography is an indirect trail of breadcrumbs indicating what I have been doing I figured I might as well share those other things as well. Both as a means to give context to the photographs, as well as provide a reason for why those photographs were made. In most cases they will be related to travel, but also things I would like to show of when I am out and about.

At any rate, I hope you will enjoy perusing through the various contents that I will hopefully fill this website with!

I started this website because I felt the sights I've seen deserve a little more attention than what they receive on other picture sharing websites. I wanted to create my own little corner on the web to show them, as well as other things, to the public.
