Cherry Blossom

Cherry Blossom

with No Comments

Spring is my favorite season. During this time the flowers I like the most bloom for a short period of time. One of those flowers is the cherry blossom.

In Japan there is a tradition called hanami, which is basically the act of viewing flowers in bloom. Usually families and friends gather beneath blossoming trees to picnic and have a good time together.

And like almost every year I went to the Amsterdamse bos which has a place with a fairly large number (400 or so) of cherry blossom trees.

Other sights

Besides cherry blossoms some random images of spring below.

During my walk through the Amsterdamse bos, I saw many decaying logs on the ground which all had moss growing on them.

I started this website because I felt the sights I've seen deserve a little more attention than what they receive on other picture sharing websites. I wanted to create my own little corner on the web to show them, as well as other things, to the public.
